Small and easy-to-use, the acoustic doppler Aquadopp current profiler has become a favorite for use in estuaries and shallow coastal water. .

In the new Aquadopp Z-Cell, Nortek has extended the profiling range by introducing a “Cell Zero”. This new feature is generated by an extra set of horizontal transducers.

The 55/75 kHz dual frequency, true broadband instrument brings you a host of features and benefits carefully developed around the needs of the scientists and engineers working both within academia and in the offshore industry. 

The aptly named Signature250 has a frequency of 250 kHz with a profiling range of 200 meters. 

Signature1000 and Signature500, two advanced five-beam current profiling systems, are made with the most demanding scientific user in mind. 

The Nortek 2D Horizontal profiler has been upgraded to midlife electronics and houses an expandable recorder for stand-alone measurements, as well as compatibility with the Nortek Autonomous Online System (AOS) for turn-key online installations.

Current Meters

The Aquadopp is probably the most versatile single-point current meter on the market. It is cost-effective, robust and has a wide range of applications. The system electronics integrates accurate Doppler velocity measurements with standard sensors such as temperature, pressure, tilt, and compass. It is low maintenance, has no moving parts, requires no recalibration, and has no zero-point drift over time. The instrument can be used in real-time applications but also comes standard with an internal recorder, batteries and a highly sophisticated power management that makes it the system of choice for self-contained deployments.

The 3000 m Aquadopp is designed for deployments down to 3000 m and it has all the capabilities of the standard Aquadopp. It is a modern, yet well-proven instrument and it is undoubtedly the most versatile single-point current meter on the market. 

The 6000 m Aquadopp is “the big brother” in the line of Aquadopp models. The all-titanium mechanical housing is built to last at great ocean depths. 

The Vector is a high-accuracy single-point current meter that is capable of acquiring 3D velocity in a very small volume at rates up to 64 Hz.
